I do have my homemade Apple pie that everything is all cooked and baked at the same time. I make apple pie all year long however in the fall I make apple pie as often as I can. During the fall we go apple picking and end up with a lot of apples, that is my que to bring on the apple pie. A beautiful easy homemade pie crust, filled with cinnamon apple pie filling this pie is a must make! Lattices Crust Apple Pie Recipe Remove from oven and place on a wire cooling rack for at least 20 minutes before serving….Lattice Crust Cinnamon Apple Pie is the perfect homemade apple pie recipe. Reduce heat to 35o degrees, and bake until top is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with a knife, 40 to 45 minutes. Place on a baking sheet, and bake for 15 minutes…. Flip pie around, and continue the process on the other side…. Mark the dough in 1/2 inch increments, to create 14 to 16 strips….Ĭut strips with a pastry cutter, pizza cutter, or large knife…. Roll the second half of the dough into an 11-inch circle (two inches wider than the pie pan). Scatter the diced butter over the apples….īrush the edge with the egg wash, and set aside. Remove the pie crust from the refrigerator, and mound the apple mixture in the center making the center higher than the sides…. Sprinkle apples with cinnamon mixture and toss to completely cover the apple slices…. Place apple slices in a large bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Place pie pan in the refrigerator until ready to fill. Divide dough in half and roll one half into a 13 inch circle and place in the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan…. Start by making the dough for the Pie Crust.
